wRONG INSTRUMENTS FROM PIANO

My Yamaha E403, when sent through Cakewalk Pro Audio program, does not sound like the right instruments. I have the Yamaha driver in MIDI devices but still doesn't sound correct. The bass becomes a piano sound and all sound are "clinky".

try getting VST plugins like reason,saxlab,grandpiano,fl loops,reason refills,virtual guitarists etc go to dx tab on sonar load and freak out dude.best of luck.

Sync problems

After first loading and converting the old cakewalk files to Sonar, I run the tape with time code and record the tape tracks into Sonar. On playback, the audio tracks run faster than the midi tracks. yr prob might b

1)metronome time of the mixdown and new track
2)Different comp with different internal clock speed so use the same comp when u mix down.
3)try 4 count metronome at the bigining and try to sync
4)If non of these above work then try
sonar 2.Thats what I use.

foot controller

I am a solo musician currently using pro audio 8 to play back midi backups. I was told by cakewalk that a foot controller would not work with pro audio 8 but would work with sonar. I just need basic functions (play, stop, loop, etc.)I am running from my laptop to a roland xv2020 sound module. Has anybody out ther done this? Any help would be appreciated. P.K.

The demo does not have these features, you have
to buy Sonar to enable the functions to save your
work.

i have sonar 2.0 and when i record audio from the digital 12 track onto the program it sounds like the instruments are phasing in and out...any ideas on how to fix this?

I cannot record Midi from My keyboard to SonarXL. I've disabled all hardware acceleration, have AWE64 using MPu 401 for Midi in and Midi out. But Still can record Midi, to play Midi on keyboard is ok. Can someone help?

open console view and click on one of the small butons above the slider. this allows panning to be manual as apposed to automatic, wich seems to be the default .good luck.

midi tracks will not sync

I recently installed a delta 1010 sound card into my system. I am running a tyan s2460 dual mother board . for some reason when I record more than one midi track they will not sync or play as I heard them in real time .Does any one know wht to do to solve this problem ?

***Did you ever sort this problem out? I've got the same set up and am having EXACTLY the same problem - Ive got a Triton LE keyboard connected to Sonar, but only one midi channel will play at any one time.

i am running sonar 1.0 through a sound blaster extigy external soundcard. there is a delay in audio when i arm a track to record. the midi (also running through the card) syncs just fine. sonar recognizes the soundcard and it is the only one i have the program configured to use. Does anyone know how to correct this?
