Software Description

FL Studio is a full-featured music production environment capable of multi-track audio recording, sequencing and mixing for the creation of professional quality songs or realistic drum loops. With VST/DX hosting, 32 bit internal mixing and advanced MIDI support no musical style will be beyond your reach. Songs or loops can be exported to a WAV, MP3, OGG or MIDI.

FL Studio is a pattern based sequencer, which means you create your songs in pieces (patterns) using the Step Sequencer and the Piano Roll view and then weld those pieces together using the Playlist window. Then you can add a wide range of effects to your instruments (reverb, phaser, flanger etc.) and route the resulting mixer tracks in any way you like to create complex mixing chains with ease.

I've been using Fruity Loops for a few years now.

You can add virtual instruments (VSTi's) into FL Studio. There are some very realistic guitar instruments that I've been using that sound almost exactly like a real acoustic or electric guitar, with some modifying. I've gotten this program to do anything and everything. No need to spend an arm and a leg on some expensive software (like ProTools or CakeWalk). Granted, those programs have their advantages and flaws, but for the normal user FL Studio will work just fine.

I have edited/recorded files (WAVs) outside of FL and imported them in. It does take a bit of skill to get the timing and everything right but anything is possible. I would definitely recommend purchasing some tutorials or learning material to help get you on your way to FL goodness.

I have downloaded lots of mp3-Midi converters.
And all of them dont work ok.
The rhythms was going to be weird.

Whenever I add 24 bit samples to the data pack in FL it won't play them. It seems fine with 16 bit. Any way around this?

fruity loops 7 is the latest version ive used and ints phenominal. using just the kicks and sounds u can create sick beats and orchestral sounds. check out some of the work at myspace just search runnaway records under music

'Waiting for input'

I've seen several posts on this particular matter, but none seemed to contain an exact answer! My fruity loops was working fine all day, then as soon as my mate arrived and I tried to play him a new idea, i only get 'waiting for input' and the play logo turns to ... not even a pause sign?!?!?? Please help, I've only recently got the programme and can't work out what's going down! Cheers.

I might have something for you...

...multimedia keyboards will confuse FL into thinking you have a midi device - that might be the problem ... the new wireless/wired desktop keyboards, depending on who makes it, has multiple 'hot-keys' (one sroke shortcut buttons)and media control keys (e.g,; Play and Stop buttons; volume control buttons)...Fruity Loops sometimes tells itself that yer keyboard is a Midi Input Device, which defaults yer Fruity Loops keyboard configuration default as a Midi Controller.
4.1 and the latest version would do that to me randomly until I got a keyboard from Creative Software, which is a typing keyboard w/a musical keyboard/midi controller that is protected by a removable palm/wrist rest below the space bar. Try going into yer midi options and tinkering there...if you have no midi device, then select 'none' in yer options...any question - fwd to notanass1975@yahoo.com

I had this problem a few mins ago. I hooked my guitar to my computer, and when I unhooked it it did that. ctrl + I will fix that, or go to options and uncheck start on input
