Software Description

From the Guitar FX BOX web site:

Just plug your electric guitar to the sound card input, start Guitar FX BOX and enjoy - your guitar will scream and sing! This high quality sound processing program is acting just like a good collection of guitar effects pedals. You can use several of them at the same time, even all of them if you need so.

Guitar FX BOX does REALLY real-time DSP. Signal is sampled from sound card input, processed and then sent to the output with VERY LOW LATENCY - virtually undetectable. This is achieved using DirectSound or WDM streaming for fast access to the hardware (sound card) and fast DSP algorithms optimized for realtime processing.

Besides that, Guitar FX BOX features intuitive user interface, supports presets and hot keys for quick presets changing, MIDI/Game controllers pedals for wah-wah effect, configurable tuner, file input/output and more...

Effects included:

  • Overdrive/Distortion
  • Echo
  • Reverb
  • Chorus
  • Wah-wah (AutoWah and EnvelopeWah)
  • Pitch shifter
  • Tremolo
  • I/O Bass/Mid/Treble EQ controls
  • Compressor
  • Phaser
  • Guitar tuner

Error opening wave input device. Selected sample rate not suppor

"Error opening wave input device. Selected sample rate not supported"

This is the error I get when I press start.
What's going wrong?

Go to the "setup"

Go to the "SETUP" on your guitarfx 2.6 and turn on the "sample rate" to "44.1 kHz".
I think that's all..

Guitar FX BOX 2.6 Excessive delay

In Addition to my last message, When I run the program under Athlon XP, the operating system was WIN XP SP2 too. The same of my CORE 2 DUO! Before the Athlon, I had an AMD K6 II 350 with Windows 98. I was using the same sound card I'm using now on my CORE 2 DUO and the program run with no delay ( at least with a setting of low sample rate, no 16 bit, no stereo and no filters).

Guitar FX BOX 2.6 Excessive delay!

Hallo!
I'm having problems running this aplication. I just can't comprehend why it happens 'cos my machine is based on an Intel(TM) CORE(TM) 2 DUO E4300 processor, 1GB Ram DDR2, MoBo Intel D946GZIS, WIN XP SP2 and the most important: EVERYTHING IS OFF BOARD! VIDEO OFF BOARD AND AUDIO OFF BOARD TOO! A COMPLETELY INDEPENDANT 5.1 AUDIO BOARD. And I'm still having delay of almost 1 second. What let me angry it was when I tryed to run the program under an Athlon XP 1.6 Ghz, 128 Mb Ram (32 for video Ram ON BOARD ), Sound card ON BOARD and it run PERFECTLY, WITHOUT ANY DELAY!!!!!!!!!!Curious: when I raise the sample rate when running on my CORE 2 DUO, the speed increases but never comes to an acceptable timing ( speed ). Why does it happen? Any Help Please!!!!!!!!!

Re: Guitar FX BOX 2.6 Excessive delay!

on Setup tab, choose WDM Streaming input and output device. or, just try & error on it (input and output) until you get the best performance.

dont pay

I dont recommend buying this software as i payed for it and there was a problem with the email he sent me and he wouldnt reply, so i payed for nothing. DONT PAY

Re: dont pay

: I dont recommend buying this software as i payed for it and there was a problem with the email he sent me and he wouldnt reply, so i payed for nothing. DONT PAY

-- Same goes with me he wouldnt reply shareit replied once but they just sent me reg.key file. Not the full program. Assholes

line in selection

I have a big problem. When i play its also effecting any other sounds going on. Ive set my mixer to line in, not stereo mix and it still effects and amplifies any other sounds within windows. If it was on stereo mix id understand but its purely line in. upsetting me, im trying to record in adobe audition and it records the metronome too, and when its on, and it has its own dedicated soundcard, everything gets recorded.

With out Brain Surgery

So far I tried download VSTs. They suck.
All I want is some simple special effects. If I download this unit, will I have to download anything else?
I hope not.
Thanks

FX box for linux?

Hi
I tried GFB on Wondows XP - it sounds good, however is there any chances for releasing it under Linux? New kernels+Preemtion patches+Jack Server gives absolutely better, and faster response than any Windows sound servers or drivers I evaluated. Thus I suggest that nowadays linux is better choice for realtime playing.

Need fuul program?cheap man!call mee
