Is this something you find yourself saying over and over .. ?
Maybe you don't know where to begin .. ?
Well I have decided to put a brand new section to the http://www.applebeam.co.uk website for unsigned singers like yourself. I have set up this username especially to concentrate on this one idea ... it works like this:
You send me a link to your website/myspace or email me ONE song to applebeamstudios@yahoo.com
I will then send a critique back to you (a breakdown of what I think is right/wrong about your song). And, with your permission after that, I will post the track on the site with the critique.
I think this will help everyone get an overview of what mistakes people make, and what others do that works. I have served as A&R at 2 indipendent labels and produce for many artists so feel I could offer something worthwhile - and of course it's free so what have you got to lose!
I don't mind if you send something thats a capella, or very rough, so long as I can hear your voice and/or the song you are singing. Also I won't post anything online until you have given me express permission to do so. I can also put a link back to your myspace or site if you want...
If I have time I might even produce the best demo for free ... but no promises yet, just want to see whats out there first 
This is great for me too as it's a perfect way to spot new talent early.
Please send questions/your song to the email above and when I have enough demos I will post them on my site and put the link here by replying to this post!
Any style ok, hip hop, pop, R&B, rock etc etc all good.
Also aside from that we do have a few quotes from A&R and a growing number of articles on our site - I aim to add more so our site becomes more of a resourse for singers.
