Subject: Recording Software
I play a keyboard for weddings, funerals and concerts at elderly resthomes I require info on what software i need, so I can play a tune on my keyboard and record it directly onto my computer; then to produce a music cd for playing later at these live venues as above

There are simple answers... and more complex ones, depending on how you want to go about it.
The simplest method is to record the audio coming out of your keyboard simply by plugging your keyboard's "line out" into the "line in" on your sound card (or the back of your computer).
You can then record your music and lay down multiple tracks using a multitrack recording program.... you'll find them on this site at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/MULTITRACK_RECORDING/ ... a good little free one is Audacity
A more advanced method is not to record the audio from you keyboard, but record the MIDI signal instead and have soft synths on your computer produce the sound.
