what's up guys, i have a queston regarding how i'm supposed to use my mpc 1000 with reason. i got an m audio usb driver for 40 bucks to connect my hardware to my computer, but reason won't read that my mpc is connected. on top of this i can't still use my keyboard to make sounds from reason to my mpc 1000, because it's a usb keyboard, not a midi. that's my question, and if you know much props to ya. thanks a lot!

yo check this out...

basically you want to sync the mpc with reason right? also you want to use your keyboard with reason and the mpc?

first of all, if its a midi keyboard then fine. but if there are no midi ins/outs on it, then it wont work. UNLESS it says that the midi data is sent/received with the USB cable then you can use it. but i doubt it.

anyway, if you wanna sync the mpc with reason you have to set reason up to read the midi data. go into options or something and select it to read from whatever midi interface you have connected to your computer. you also have to set the mpc up to send/receive midi time code, midi clock or smpte. i have an mpc2000 which is different from the 1000 but the process should be the same.

do you have a midi interface? you need one.

anyway reply back. peace
