| I'm recording off an old version of acid pro 2.0. yea its really old. I just upgraded my sound card to a sound blaster audigy 2zs platinum. When I import or load a beat on acid and i hit the record button the beat and the vocals are not sperate when i mute the instrumental. On my old sound card when i recorded I would hear just the vocals and not the beat, but now the beat is playing on the same track with the vocals i recorded. Can someone please help. Hope this doesn't sound too confusing. thank you. |

Acid Pro Issues Resolved...Step one.. Please don't get discouraged a lot of guys cant get past the front end of Acid Pro .Acid Pro was created by Sonic Foundry to give multitrack capability to their existing users of Sound Forge .It was basicilly an engineering program that derived from the original Sound Designer on the Atari platform .The downside as you might have noticed is that the front end of Acid Pro is setup for Hip-Hoppers and Rappers to loop all their stuff....But you dont have to loop anything unless you want to.Beats and tracks dont really make sense for real musical compositions. They are just away to let people tryout the functions of the host programs capabilities .The solution to your problem can be resolved by rendering the beats or tracks as seperate files then using the paint tool on these seperate tracks ; Simply paint in your sound were you want it < In Engineering terms this is as hard as it gets, but once you get it down right you will have a stratigic advantage over the other guys .There is no one that can actually paint the sound exactly where they want it so it is recomended that you highlight these portions imediatelly after you paint them. These events can then be shifted by dragging then fowrds or backwards in relation to time.If this does not achieve the results that you desire simply de-activate the snap function in the drag down preferences dialog box now increasing you zoom factor gives you total control as you slowly shift the beats or vocal track where you want it. That is how you actuall produce with Acid Pro ! Version 4.0f is the most stable ver. to date and will allow you to run a 100 Synths or Samplers . Sony Pictures purchased Sonic Foundry for a good reason and it is considered the number 1 rig . I build synthesizers mostly Russian Analogs. They operate internally at 512 Kilohertz 256 downstream Acid Pro is the only host program that can handle the load at full capacity .You can't download Acid 4.0f anymore so you will have to get it from someone else if you do let me know and since I'm a developer I can register it remotely for you .....Good Luck Sincerely J.R. Thought you guys should know that I ported over most of the early Russian wideband analog synths to the Vst platform. Including V-Lynns X-Bow the Russian Falling Star and the Galaxy Synth. Lots of effects,... too many to list . Over 10,000 total email me for complete line-up. I've recreated everything from 1965 up thru the year 3000 and would very much like your input specifically regarding your creations .The program that allows you to do all this is called Synth Edit and if you don't have it I would like to hook you up with it. I would love to see what your "Tech-Team" would come up with using it! Anyway, I included links to one of Richard Brooks creations this guy is the "Crown Prince" of graphic design and also did a fantastic job on the VCS 3,Synthiak and the entire Modular Moog assembly I would like to include him in future collaborations.... Enjoy! Sincerely J.R. email me hrdlnt@hotmail.com

I too have a treack bleed problem. no matter what I seem to do, I always get track bleed from other tracks (both audio AND Midi) on the track I am recording. this includes already rendered tracks of audio.
how can I set it up so I only get what I am trying to record on my line in ( like my guitar) and nothing else on a new track I recording?
I tried muting everything, and muting all busses.
any ideas? by the way I am using a PC, athlon 64 processer, acid pro 5.0 and an m-audio delta 2496 soind card.
thanks. if you have any ideas PLEASE email me at : papamalo@hotmail.com
thanks again.

| Yeah, I am having the same problem ever since I installed my new ati videocard. I no idea why the videocard would mess up my settings. Before this, everything worked fine. I could record a track while the other tracks played but the other tracks wouldn't be recorded on the new track. Now all the tracks and the new one end up on one track. Can anyone help? I'm using an extigy sound card. |
