I have Audio HiJack pro and an audio in cable which i plug into the mini disk and into the firewire connection into my mac. The music plays through system prefrences but I can not record using audio HIJack. This has been driving me CRAZY for a while now can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?? |

| A bit of a pissy way of doing it for quality... but can you grab an audio cable with a 3.5 mm stereo jack on each end... one into your MDs line-out and the other end into your soundcards line-in. |

I suspect that it's because Audio HiJack will record the output from one specific program. I wouldn't know how to get it to record the general output of the MacOs Finder..
Might be worth downloading Audacity and recording in from your line in OR, getting a SP/DIF equipped audio interface (not that expensive these days) and recording it in properly.
