I'm speaking of sound effects that you can put in songs such as rain, thunder, explosions, sirens, etc.
Are there certain types of programs or hardware equipment that come with built-in sound effects that I can use? What's the name of them and which kind do you recommend me to use? |

All GM (General MIDI) sets come with a standard set of sound FX such as "scream" "punch" "train" "Jet" "thunder" etc. You can find these sounds on most keyboards or as GM samplets or "soundfonts" that can be freely downloaded from places such as Hammersound.com
However, if you want a specific sound effect you may need to buy a CD of sound effects that contains the one you require, or you can licence it from a dealer. One of the best sound FX libraries online is at http://www.sounddogs.com
You will find all the info you require there.

I've found a lot of good sounds with Google, I don't yet remember the links, but it's easy to find. You have there many banks with dogs, horses, hens and birds, rain, thunder, war noises, screams or talks... many many things, even love sounds .
Google can be your friend. |
